Honeycomb Assembled Multiflute Endmill with Cutting Plate

Developed to deliver unprecedented versatileità in complex più machining on honeycomb structures (Nomex, Kevlar, or aluminum), this solution introduces a modular, ultra-high-throughput architecture. The cutter features the proven multi-cutting body geometry with chip breaker, but evolves into a fully assembled system composed of three distinct elements: guide shank, milling body and lower cutting disc.

The peculiarity of this system lies in the operational flexibility, thanks to the possibility of configuring the tool with three different types of discs depending on the material and type of finish required:

• The toothed version (77SUPD): for the processing of aluminum cores at high density.
• The smooth version (77SUPL): Designed for all densities of Kevlar and Nomex and lighter density aluminum cores.
• The flat version (77SUPP): Engineered to machine mixed density honeycomb core materials with hard epoxied bond lines.

Once combined, the three elements are firmly clamped at the head by a high-strength clamping screw, ensuring a structural rigidità equal to that of a monolithic tool. This synergy allows the disc to clearly cut into the base of the cell while the multi-cutting body profiles its walls, zeroing the burrs, eliminating any risk of fraying and preventing flexural collapse of the honeycomb.
