Honeycomb Multiflute Endmill with Chipbraker
Specially developed to perform three-dimensional excavation, profiling and complex routes on honeycomb structures (honeycomb).
This multi-cutting cutter expresses the perfect balance between cutting speed and structural delicacy. Honeycomb materials, whether aluminum, Nomex, or Kevlar, require extremely smooth cutting action to prevent crushing or deformation of cell walls. The special multi-cutting configuration, combined with a precision-ground chip-breaking profile, performs a continuous micro-tranching action that fractionates the sizzle and reduces the deforming thrusts to zero.
To extend performance consistency and protect cutting profiles from thermo-abrasive wear, the line is also available with the application of the optional latest-generation Cer-TAC coating, a very high-hardness protective shield that optimizes material flow; however, the tool remains available for order in a standard, uncoated version. Calibrated to operate at high rotation speeds on CNC machines and pantographs, it ensures perfectly intact walls, clean cuts and the total absence of fraying or burrs.
