Straight Flute Z=4 for Manual and CNC Drilling
Designed to eliminate the risk of delamination and fraying of carbon fiber in any arrangement: long fiber, short fiber, woven fibers, one-way fibers.
The straight 4-edge geometry balances the shear stress and cancels axial thrust, avoiding separation of the fabric layers. Thanks to its extraordinary stabilità, it ensures clean and burr-free holes both on CNC machining centers and in delicate manual drilling operations.
- DLC Coating Option: Available with Diamond-Like Carbon (DLC) coating, an ultra-low friction film that protects the cutting edge from the extreme abrasiveness of carbon, multiplying tip life and optimizing powder flow.
- Strengths: Total no burrs, maximum concentricityà and vibration reduction.
- Main use: Drilling carbon panels and structures (CFRP) for aerospace and automotive.
